Laffmattazz with Gbenga Adeyinka & Friends: The Next Chapter marked its 15th anniversary with a historic Canadian tour from August 28 to August 30, 2026, bringing Nigeria’s signature style of comedy to audiences across Calgary, London and Toronto.

The tour carried the weight of a major milestone. For years, Laffmattazz has been one of Nigeria’s most recognisable comedy platforms, creating a space where humour, music and cultural commentary meet. Taking that experience outside Nigeria was not simply about exporting a show; it was about bringing a familiar piece of home to Nigerians building new lives thousands of kilometres away.

The lineup featured some of the biggest names in Nigerian entertainment, including the legendary Gbenga Adeyinka, who anchored the franchise’s global chapter, alongside musical star 9ice. But among the night’s many memorable performances, it was veteran cross-border comedian and host MC Morris who captured the unique emotional reality of the Nigerian diaspora experience.
