The Future in Focus: How Sinead Bovell Is Redefining Tomorrow for a New Generation

Talking about the future isn’t new. But few leaders make it feel reachable especially for young people and communities who have historically been excluded from technology’s most powerful conversations.

Sinead Bovell is doing just that.

A Canadian-born futurist and founder of WAYE (Weekly Advice for Young Entrepreneurs), she brings advanced technology ideas from artificial intelligence to cybersecurity, into spaces where they can be understood, shaped, and acted on by people from all backgrounds.

Sinead’s journey moved from business consulting and modelling into something far bigger: building a bridge between emerging technologies and the next generation of innovators.

With academic roots in finance and an MBA in strategic management, she saw early on that rapid technological change wasn’t just for specialists, it would redefine how we work, learn, and lead.

Yet many young people, especially in minority communities, weren’t invited into those conversations. She changed that.

Today, WAYE equips entrepreneurs and students with accessible education about technology’s present impact and future possibilities.

Through events, talks, and workshops, tens of thousands of Millennials and Gen Zers have gained clarity on topics once reserved for experts. Sinead’s voice has reached global institutions, she’s spoken at the United Nations multiple times and advised world leaders on digital inclusion and innovation.

As artificial intelligence reshapes jobs, economies, and creative fields, understanding technology and its ethical dimensions isn’t a luxury, it’s essential.

And Sinead makes these complex ideas tangible, by turning intimidating concepts into frameworks that empower learners to navigate change with confidence.

Recognition has followed: Vogue dubbed her an “AI educator for the non-nerds,” and she’s been named among the top voices shaping the future by Afrotech and Refinery29.

In celebrating Sinead, we honour someone who not only prepares us for what’s ahead but invites us in, and proves that the future belongs to the curious, the courageous, and the connected.
