AHTSx Canada 2026 to Convene Global Leaders Driving the Future of Health Innovation Across Africa and North America

On June 9, 2026, Toronto becomes the meeting point for some of the world’s leading voices in healthcare, technology, policy, investment, research and entrepreneurship as the Africa HealthTech Summit × Canada (AHTSx Canada 2026) convenes at the Chestnut Conference Centre, University of Toronto.

Bringing together 200+ delegates and 155 speakers from across Africa, North America and beyond, AHTSx Canada is a premier platform designed to strengthen Canada–Africa collaboration in health innovation, digital transformation, investment, research and health systems development.

Under its 2026 theme “Connected Care: Scaling Innovation Through Partnerships,” the summit will explore how governments, innovators, investors, academia, healthcare institutions and development organisations can work together to build more resilient, equitable and future-ready health systems.

Over two days, participants will engage in high-level plenaries, policy dialogues, roundtables, innovation showcases, workshops, investment discussions and networking opportunities focused on advancing healthcare innovation and strengthening global partnerships.

The summit will welcome a diverse group of speakers and thought leaders representing government institutions, academic organisations, healthcare systems, innovation hubs, investment firms and international development organisations.

Participating organisations include academic institutions such as the University of Toronto, Ontario Tech University and Western University; pan-African organisations including AMREF Health Africa, Smart Africa and eHealth Africa; and public and private sector partners including Digital Health Canada, Steele Foundation for Hope, Global Health Connector, Invest Ontario and Villgro Africa, among others working to shape the future of healthcare innovation.
