In the heart of Toronto—a city that thrives on diversity and ambition—Tunde Omotoye is changing what it means to arrive, belong, and thrive as an African immigrant in Canada.

Originally from Nigeria, Tunde is a seasoned HR strategist, speaker, and tech entrepreneur who co-founded HumanSquad, a digital platform offering career coaching and immigration support to newcomers. What started as a response to his own struggles navigating Canada’s job market has now helped over 30,000 immigrants across the globe.“We’re not just helping people land jobs,” Tunde says. “We’re helping them rewrite their futures—with clarity and confidence.”

Since arriving in Canada in 2015, Tunde has turned lived experience into a mission. HumanSquad, now backed by Toronto Metropolitan University’s DMZ Incubator, is breaking down systemic barriers with tailored support—from resume upgrades to visa insights. In 2022, the startup won the Black Innovation Summit Pitch Competition, cementing its role as a leader in immigrant support.Beyond the platform, Tunde is also a WES Ambassador, mentor to international graduates, and author of Adelaide Street—a raw, relatable memoir of starting over in a foreign land.
