The FIA Prize Giving Ceremony for 2024 celebrated Max Verstappen, who claimed his fourth consecutive Formula 1 Drivers’ World Championship.
Verstappen, driving for Red Bull Racing, dominated the season with his exceptional performance, including 19 victories out of 22 races, securing his place among the sport’s all-time greats. This year also saw McLaren take the Constructors’ Championship, breaking Red Bull’s streak, showcasing a competitive resurgence in Formula 1.
Verstappen’s remarkable consistency and Red Bull’s innovative car design were key to his achievements. At the ceremony in Abu Dhabi, Verstappen reflected on the season’s highs, emphasizing teamwork and innovation. Meanwhile, McLaren’s triumph highlighted their improved performance, led by drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, with the latter also earning the FIA Rookie of the Year award.
