Morocco has officially made travelling for the AFCON 2025 tournament easier, cheaper, and far more accessible. In a major boost to football lovers across the continent, the Moroccan government has waived all e-Visa fees for supporters attending the championship, scheduled to run from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.

The announcement was made on Friday by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the AFCON Morocco 2025 Local Organising Committee, confirming that fans from countries that normally require a visa to enter Morocco can now secure their travel documents free of charge.

According to CAF, the decision comes as global demand for Africa’s biggest football tournament continues to rise, with more supporters booking tickets and planning trips to North Africa. The move is expected to boost tourism, simplify travel logistics, and ensure that AFCON 2025 becomes one of the most fan-inclusive tournaments in history.

Seamless Travel: Fan ID + e-Visa via Yalla App

To attend the tournament, every fan needs two key documents:

  • A Fan ID (mandatory for entry into all stadiums and official Fan Zones)
  • An e-Visa to enter Morocco

In a bid to create a frictionless experience, both documents can now be obtained in one place — the official Yalla App, Morocco’s dedicated platform for AFCON visitors.

CAF highlighted that the Fan ID application and e-Visa request are completed seamlessly within the app, allowing fans to manage travel requirements, match access, and identification through a single secure portal. The integration ensures a faster, easier, and safer process for both international visitors and local supporters.

A Fan-Friendly AFCON Season Ahead

By removing visa fees and centralizing the verification process, Morocco is sending a clear message: AFCON 2025 belongs to the fans. The waiver not only eliminates additional travel costs but also positions Morocco as a welcoming host eager to celebrate African football with the world.

As excitement builds and stadiums prepare to roar with energy, supporters can now gear up for a smooth, affordable, and unforgettable AFCON experience.
